ABOUTWho we are

BETTER MEN.BETTER FATHERS.SAME TABLE.

01The shared schedule

The schedule built the bond.

School, teams, first jobs. We were in the same room every week and the friendships took care of themselves.

Then life scattered the schedule. Different shifts, different cities, kids on different teams. Nobody quit on anybody. The calendar stopped putting us in the same place.

So we put it back on purpose. One night a month, at a local spot, with the date set weeks ahead. Same guys, same table, again and again. That's how a familiar face turns into someone you'd call at 11pm.

Any man who's a father. If you want to be better, you belong at this table.

“Good dads need something like this. It's not only just networking; it's helping each other out and having a place where dads can be dads, and not only that, but dads can be a friend.”

CODEHow we carry ourselves

The F.A.T.H.E.R.HOOD Standard.

Not a speech. A standard we work at.

The men who raised us were figuring it out as they went. So are we. We fill the gaps and skip the grudge.

  1. F. Follow through.

We do what we said we'd do.

  2. A. Act now.

We take the next step, even when it's a calculated risk. We win or we learn.

  3. T. Take the lead.

We lead at home before we talk about it anywhere else.

  4. H. Hand down a legacy.

We build what our kids can carry forward.

  5. E. Everyday reliability.

We show up on the hard days, too.

  6. R. Reach for brotherhood.

We call. We bring something. We don't leave the next guy to carry it alone.

Lead by example. That's the whole job.

02What we hold to

What we run on.

  1. Presence over engagement.

We show up in person. The app keeps us in touch. The table is where the bond gets built.

  2. Built, not borrowed.

We're building this from the ground up for this corridor. Our stops. Our standard. Our responsibility.

  3. Transparency with money.

We're building the fund around a separate account and a published process. Every dollar in has a stated purpose. Every dollar out has a documented reason.

  4. Local depth.

We stay close enough to know the guys two streets over. Local depth matters more than a long list of names.

  5. Follow-through.

We put a date, a time and a place on the calendar. Then we do what we said we'd do.

How we handle the money

03The founder

Built here.

James Taylor, founder of Mid-Cities Dads.

Built here. Run here.

Our founder is James Taylor, a father and local business owner in North Richland Hills. He founded and runs Mid-Cities Dads. We're independent, built from the ground up for this corridor.

“Every single time, we end up on the bottom of our own list.”
